At Lily Rouse we feel that is is important for our clients to know and understand the process in which our products are developed from initial designs to final prototypes.
Each process from design to production is done in-house, individually hand-made in London from 100% sandwashed silk.
The fabric, the cut and the finish are the three main traits defining Lily Rouse. This is why we work to a make-to-order basis, enabling us to work closely with clients to meet their specific desires and needs with each purchase. Attention to detail is a main factor illustrated within each process.
The Fabric – All products are made from 100% sandwashed silk – a softer, more suede like feel with a slightly matt finish. Our silk is available within our core neutral colour palette; charcoal, slate, almond, egg shell and white.
The Cut – Our collection is built upon classic shapes , adding luxury to staple pieces. We take a bespoke approach to developing the shape of our garments from carefully sculpted pattern cutting. For the majority of our collection, we cut on the bias – meaning the fabric hangs beautifully to sculpt and enhance the female form. This creates a flattering fit on a range of body shapes and sizes.
The Finish – Finish is paramount to produce a luxury feel and fit. We use specialist techniques on all products which compliment each step within the development process. Combining luxury finishes including french seams and pin hems, this not only enhances the fit but adds comfort against the skin along with a beautiful finish.
